Due to the ITU World Triathlon Abu Dhabi 2020 Cancellation

After careful deliberation, Abu Dhabi Sports Council, with the support of the ITU, has made the decision not to reschedule the 2020 ITU World Triathlon Abu Dhabi as a precautionary measure to reduce the spread of 2019-nCoV Coronavirus in the UAE.

Those athletes entered into the 2020 ITU World Triathlon Abu Dhabi have the option to defer the entry into the 2021 event, or apply for a full refund of the 2020 entry fee. 

All athletes will be contacted directly via email, to process the entry deferment or refund. 

If you are an athlete, and have not yet received an email from the WTS Abu Dhabi team, please contact us (stating your full name, Emirates ID/passport number, deferment/refund preference) on info@wts-abudhabi.com. 

The cut-off date for refunds is 23:59 on 31 July 2020. For further details, click here.

The 2021 event, which will once again mark the launch of the ITU’s global World Triathlon series, is likely to take place in March 2021. The dates will be confirmed in the coming months.
