RIO 2016 PARALYMPIC GOLD MEDALIST TEAMS UP WITH CNN

Team GB’s Rio 2016 Paralympic gold medallist, Andy Lewis crosses the line with CNN’s Becky Anderson at today’s ITU World Triathlon Abu Dhabi. The pair joined 2,500 other participants on Yas Island, with Andy Lewis making history as the first para-triathlete to compete in Abu Dhabi alongside able bodied competitors.

Commenting on the performance “It was a good experience to be able to talk Becky through the training and warm up. She told me today that she had never completed a 5km in one go, so to team up with her here and complete a 5km was great – a first for her in triathlon and a first for me here in Abu Dhabi!”
